Runners are made in Livichuco, from the province of Avaroa, in Oruro.
Alpaca & sheep’s wool is sourced locally, washed with a local plant roots-Huari Yareta (Azorella Multifida)
Plants and insects such as the Ñaca Thola (Baccharis Incarum) and Cochinilla (Dactylopius coccus) are used in combination with oxidized metal, lemon or ashes to create a wide range of color tones.
This is a new piece - Made from sheep and alpaca wool that is hand spun. Runners are dyed with plant & insect-based dyes and woven on a pampa away (ground loom). They are all hand made, and some imperfections may occur.
We feel this adds to the beauty and uniqueness of these pieces, and we hope you do too.
