Palo Santo (Busera Graveolens), meaning "holy wood" is a tree native to South America belonging to the same family as frankincense and myrrh, and has been used dating back to pre-Hispanic civilizations. The Incas are known to have used the sacred wood in rituals and ceremonies for spiritual purificarion, energy cleansing and healing.
 
Used today to as a 'smudge' to purify and cleanse any negative energy,  bring love, creativity and fortune to your horizon.
 
The Ojitos Bracelet is an awakipa, a tubular weave that adorns and protects the textile edges. This design in particular is the chichilla (eye border), like the "Evil Eye", it is believed it to protects the textile and wearer by reflecting bad energy away, allowing a change of fortune and luck to enter in.
 
Mini Clay Plates are made for the festival of Alasitas, which is month long festival in January, that honours the Ekeko, the Aymara god of abundance. He will fulfill our wishes and aspirations. Everything you could ever want is for sale...in miniature form!
 
Dating back to the pre-Colombian era, the Aymaras celebrated then what was called Chhalasita, a festival where people prayed for good crops and exchanged basic goods. As time progressed, so did the festival, as it evolved to accommodate components of Catholicism and Western acquisitiveness, and the word was changed to Alasita which in Aymara means "buy me".
